Looking for something sweet to make your s.o this Valentine’s Day? Whether you’re staying in our going out, this recipe is going to sweeten up the day:
- Cocoa powder (3 tablespoons)
- Whole milk (3 cups)
- Semisweet chocolate chips (6 ounces)
- Granulated sugar (3 tablespoons)
Shopping list for whipped cream
- Heavy cream (1 cup)
- Powdered sugar (2 tablespoon)
- Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
- Heart shaped sprinkles
Whipped cream instructions: PREPARE FIRST
- Pour Heavy whipping cream into a small/medium sized bowl
- Add powdered sugar
- Add just one tap of vanilla extract
- Whip until stiff peaks form
- Leave out or put in fridge while you make hot cocoa
Hot cocoa instructions:
- Bring ¾ cup water to a simmer in medium saucepan over medium-heat
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, until there are no chocolate lumps
- Add milk, bring to simmer again
- Whisk in chocolate chips and sugar until consistency is smooth and blended
Cook time: About 5 minutes

- Pour into a mug
- Add a gracious amount of homemade whipped cream
- Top with heart-shaped sprinkles
